We have 13 incredible interns working for us this summer. Chances are you may see them around at any of the Woodchucks home games. Here is your chance to get to know them a little more personally.

All the way from Waterford, WI, Kate Stanger currently resides in Stevens Point as a Business Administration major and works for the Woodchucks in Ballpark Operations.  Her love of sports and dream of being in sports management is what brought her to work for the Woodchucks this summer.  One thing Kate would like to point out to our fans is that she has been to Summerfest every years since she was 4.

Also working in Ballpark Operations is Brian Macdonald, who is originally from Los Angeles, CA. Brian is going to school in Augsburg, MN to become a Secondary Education History teacher, he is here to gain experience working with high school age children, which includes some of our summer staff.  He is also here because he wants to learn more about the day-to-day operations of Athletic Park.  One fun fact about our friend Brian is that he can sing just about every song on his iPod and the radio.

Attending Woodchuck games as a child is what inspired our last Ballpark Operations intern to work for us this summer. Tony Liebe is a senior at UW-Stevens Point and is from Hatley, WI. As an Accounting and Business Administration major, Tony looks forward to the experience he will gain this summer.  In his free time, Tony likes to go to local race tracks and play slow-pitch softball. Roll tide!

If you hear snorting during one of our home games, it's most likely one of our Marketing interns laughing.  Originally from Schofield, WI, Bailey Schepp is a senior attending UW-Platteville as a Media Studies Major with an emphasis in Public Relations and a history minor.  She wanted to work for the Woodchucks because of how involved within the community the organization is.

Taylor Porter, from Wausau, WI and is spending a third summer here with the Woodchucks as a Multiplatform Media Production Intern. Although she used to live on the island of Guam she can’t swim. She is currently a senior at UW-Oshkosh and is studying Radio TV Film. When asked what has brought her back for a third summer, Taylor responded with that the Woodchucks give her the opportunity to combine two of her passions: production and baseball!

Laurissa Christianson is a senior at UW-Stevens Point and is studying communications with an emphasis in public relations and is working as a Marketing Intern this summer. She is from Schofield, WI, and cannot go a day without watching a movie. Laurissa wanted to work for the Woodchucks to learn more about how sports organizations worked and whether it would be something that she would like to continue in upon graduation.

Hailing from Burnsville, MN, Jason Dorow is a rising junior at Northwestern University studying Journalism with a Business Institutions Minor. Even though he is not from the area, he heard great things about the Woodchuck’s organization and wanted to get into broadcasting, so he took this opportunity to do just that. Jason loves listening to music, and his favorite artist is Drake.

Originally from Oshkosh, WI, Kyle Stephan just graduated from UW-Stevens Point this last spring with a degree in Business Administration in Marketing. Hoping to work in sports marketing, Kyle chose this position as a Marketing Intern to enhance his skills and develop connections that will last a lifetime.  If his face looks familiar it's probably because he was on Nickelodeon’s Slime Time Live when he was a kid.

Although Seth Merrill is from Plover, WI, he is a St. Louis Cardinals fan that attends the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities studying Sports and Business Management.  Wanting to get first-hand experience and receive a better understanding of all aspects that take place to make a sports organization be successful, Seth is very excited to be with the Woodchucks this summer as a Marketing Intern.

Another Marketing Intern, Jenny Lamers is from Kaukana, WI and will be a senior at UW- Stevens Point majoring in Business Adminisration – Marketing. She loves to travel and wants to do more of it in the future. She wanted to gain experience and loves sports so this seemed like a great fit!

Ben Heindl is not saying he's Batman, but he's not denying it either.  As a senior at UW-Eau Claire studying Marketing, he claims he can cook minute rice in 57 seconds.  He is a champion thumb wrestler from Marathon, WI. He also thought working for the Woodchucks would be the cheapest way to get season tickets.

Looking to complete his Bachelor's degree in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Jared Wurster, a Ticket Sales Intern, is a senior at the University of Wisconsin – Madison and originally from right here in Wausau, WI.  He wanted to work for the Woodchucks because of our amazing Director of Ticket Sales & Operations, Sam Hollis.  Jared also claims to be super fun and a cool guy.

Another fan of our Director of Ticket Sales & Operations, Andrew Fisher is a Ticket Sales Intern looking to complete his junior year at the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh where he is studying Marketing with an emphasis in Sales.  Andrew wanted to work for the Woodchucks because he knew it would be a great learning experience and help him in the future.
