Wausau, WIS-  The Green Bay Bullfrogs held the Wisconsin Woodchucks to just one hit in the first game of a doubleheader Tuesday, and the Bullfrogs won 4-0 at Athletic Park.

The Bullfrogs hopped ahead of the Woodchucks with two runs on two hits and one error in the first inning. Green Bay sealed the victory with two more runs in the ninth off four walks and an RBI single from Franco Guardscione.

Wisconsin’s lone hit came from Jared Oliva on an infield single in the fifth. The Chucks’ also had four walks, but they only got a runner to third base once.

Matt Smith pitched five innings for the Chucks and gave up just three hits and one earned run while receiving the loss. Eli Kraus followed with two scoreless innings in relief.

Nathan Disch earned the victory for Green Bay by giving up just one hit, striking out eight and holding the Woodchucks scoreless in a seven-inning start.

The second game in the doubleheader between the Bullfrogs and Woodchucks will start at 6:35 p.m.
