Wausau, WIS – The Madison Mallards beat the Wisconsin Woodchucks 7-3 Saturday night at Athletic Park behind two home runs – for four RBI’s – from Collin Theroux.

Theroux hit his first blast, a solo shot, in the second inning to put the Mallards ahead 1-0. Madison scored again in the third off one hit and one error to double their lead to 2-0.

The Woodchucks loaded the bases in the third with two singles and a walk. Connor Heady then drew a base on balls to score Jared Oliva to cut the deficit to 2-1. Wisconsin tied it in the fourth inning when Ryan Day plated Keenan Eaton with a sacrifice fly to right field.

Theroux’s second jack – a three-run homer – came in the fifth, making it 5-2. Although Connor Heady scored in the eighth on a fielder’s choice from Yusuke Akitohsi, Madison tacked on insurance runs in the sixth and ninth to win 7-3.
