Wausau, WIS – The Wisconsin Woodchucks announced their 2017 Promotional Schedule today. The Woodchucks have some new, exciting promotions in store for you and are bringing back some fan favorites!
Bobbleheads
The Woodchucks will have five bobblehead giveaways in 2017. On June 8th, the first 1000 fans will receive a Star Wars Master Woody Woodchuck Bobblehead, presented by Culligan Water Systems. On June 25th, Outdoor Woody Woodchuck Bobbleheads presented by Cellcom will be given to the first 1000 fans. The third bobblehead of 2017 will be a Ben Zobrist Commemorative Bobblehead and will be given to the first 1000 fans who attend the game on July 26th. On July 29th, the first 1000 fans will receive a Captain Woody Woodchuck Bobblehead to celebrate “SummerWeen”, presented by Ho Chunk Gaming Wittenberg. On August 10th, the first 1000 fans will receive a RAM Woody Woodchuck Bobble Truck presented by Brickner Family Auto Group.
Fireworks Series
Spectacular fireworks will again be on display after all Friday home games as well as one Saturday game as a part of the 2017 Fireworks Series. Fans can enjoy fireworks during opening weekend on June 3rd presented by Time Federal Savings Bank, June 16th presented by Wipfli CPA’s & Consulting, June 30th presented by Cellcom, July 7th presented by Trig’s, July 21st presented by WI Chevy Dealers, August 4th presented by Cellcom and, August 11th presented by McDonald’s.
Giveaways
In addition to the five bobblehead giveaway nights, fans can expect additional giveaways throughout the season, including a baseball giveaway, presented by Cost Cutters and The Barbers Family Hairstyling to the first 500 fans on July 30th and a color changing giveaway presented by Hovda-Kristo Orthodontic Specialists on June 27th. On opening night on May 31st, the first 250 fans will receive a Woodchucks baseball hat. A second Woodchucks baseball hat giveaway will be on June 12th. There will also be two baseball card giveaway nights presented by Sun Printing on July 27th and August 12th.
Theme Nights & Appearances
This year the Woodchucks 2017 schedule includes many brand new events with many theme nights & appearances! We’re kicking them off with Princesses at the Park with Belle, Cinderella, Anna & Elsa in attendance on June 11th. There will also be a Harry Potter Night on June 26th to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the first book. On July 20th, celebrate Christmas in July Night at Athletic Park. The players will wear Ugly sweater Jerseys. Be sure to check out Superhero Night on August 12th. A special guest will also be in town on June 20th for Kids’ Day Out at the 11:35 a.m. day game.
New performances to Athletic Park this year are the Flying Houndz Frizbee Dog Trick Show on June 14th and Rally Entertainment July 27th. The World Famous ZOOperstars! will return on August 3rd, presented by Rib Mountain Paper. Xpogo, the Extreme Pogo group will make an appearance on July 6th. The Klement’s Racing Sausages will be back on July 21st.
This season, join the Woodchucks for a Father’s Day celebration at Athletic Park on June 18th presented by Auto Select. Play catch with dad pre-game, get player autographs and enjoy the Father’s Day Picnic. Ticket packages for the picnic can be purchased by calling 715.845.5055, online, or in person.
Back by popular demand is Leinenkugel Night on June 22nd, celebrating the 150th anniversary of the beer, which will include giveaways and beer specials all night, presented by Leinenkugel Brewing Company. Also returning is Summertime St. Patty’s Day on July 8th with green bases, green uniforms and green beer! Summertime St. Patty’s Day will be paired with the new Local Heroes Night with special ticket packages for military, police, fire, and first responders. Other notable nights include an 80th Anniversary Celebration of SPAM with a SPAM carving contest on June 6th, the Fifth Annual Eat-A-Palooza on July 10th, Marshfield Clinic Cancer Awareness Night on July 22nd and Faith and Family Night presented by both Yach’s Body & Custom and Grebe’s on July 9th. Also returning is the Beer Around the Bases Craft Beer Festival on July 7th and Wine & Design on July 9th.
