Wausau, WIS – The Wisconsin Woodchucks started a six game road trip today at Witter Field vs. the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. The game was kept close by the pitching staff, but the ‘Chucks fell to the Rafters with a final score of 1-0.

Starting pitcher Orsen Josephina went 6.0 innings, his longest stretch on the bump so far this season. He gave up the only run of the game in the second inning but kept the game scoreless after that.

Relief pitchers Branson Hall and Dylan Carter each put in an inning of work on the mound also and kept the game locked at 1-0.

Despite a strong pitching performance, the Woodchucks offense was shut down by the Rafters and they could not rally for the win. The ‘Chucks will get a second shot at the Rafters tomorrow at Witter Field at 7:05pm.
