Wausau, WIS – The Woodchucks came into tonight’s game on the road in Fond Du Lac looking to get back on track with a win against the Dock Spiders. The game was kept close all throughout but the Dock Spiders pulled away in the late innings and held on for the 5-2 win.

 

After falling behind 2-0, in the the Chucks answered back with an RBI single from designated hitter Zach DeLoach in the top of the 4thinning. The team then followed with an RBI double from right fielder Reese Alexiades in the top of the 5thinning to tie things up at two.

 

The Dock Spiders added two runs in the bottom of the 7thinning to make it 4-2 and then added one more in the 8thinning to make it 5-2.

 

Chucks Starter Mason Cole entered the game making his debut and went three innings giving up just one run and striking out two.

 

 

 

Top Performers

 

Chucks right fielder Reese Alexiades continued to stay hot with an RBI double in the top of the 5thinning. Coming into the game tonight, Alexiades was the leader in average on the team batting .333

 

In his third game as a Woodchuck, centerfielder Zach Deloach added an RBI single in the 4thto give the Chucks their first run of the game.
