Wausau, WIS – The Woodchucks came into tonight’s game in Mequon looking for their fifth win in a row against the Lakeshore Chinooks. The Chucks fell behind in the early going and though they did rally to cut into the deficit, they fell 4-3.

 

After the Chinooks scored four runs in the first two innings, the Woodchucks answered right back in the top of the 3rd inning with a two run RBI double from centerfield Zach DeLoach. This brought the score to 4-2 Chinooks.

 

The Chucks also answered with an RBI single from first basemen Alex Toral in the top of the 6th and that trimmed the lead to make it 4-3. The Chucks could not pull off the rally, and fell to the Chinooks 4-3.

 

Top Performers

 

Woodchucks centerfielder Zach DeLoach had a nice night at plate going 2-4 with an two run RBI double.

 

Chucks reliever Frank Frate was outstanding in relief going 5 2/3 innings with no runs and five punchouts.
