Wausau, WI – The Woodchucks came into tonight’s game in Mequon looking to split the two-game series against the Chinooks. The Chucks took an early lead but the Chinooks offense woke up and defeated the Chucks 10-4.

The Chucks came out swinging right away as left fielder Jaren Shelby unloaded a two-run homer to left in the top of the 1st.

After the Chinooks answered for a run in the bottom of the 1st, the Woodchucks answered right back with a sac fly RBI from first basemen Alex Toral.

The Chinooks scored a run in the bottom of the 3rd to make it 3-2 and then broke out in the bottom of the 4th, scoring four runs and taking a 6-3 lead.

The Chucks started to come back with a solo shot from Jaren Shelby to make it 6-4. That was Shelby’s second homer of the game and third RBI of the night.

Despite the solid effort, the Chinooks won with a final score of 9-4.
