Wausau, WI – The Woodchucks came into tonight’s game opening up a four game road trip and taking on the Rockford Rivets. The Chucks have been red hot lately, winning eight of their last ten games. It was back and forth but the Rivets had a big 4th inning and held on for the tight 4-3 win.

The Woodchucks offense still looked good courtesy of a two-run shot from Chucks designated hitter Alex Toral to give the team the lead after two.

The Rivets struck back with a run in the bottom of the 3rd inning to make it 3-1. A big bases clearing RBI double from Ryan Cole made it 4-3 Rivets after four.

Chucks starter Orsen Josephina kept the game within reach going four innings striking out five.

The Chucks threatened in the top of the 9th with the go ahead run at the plate, but could not mount the comeback.
