Wisconsin Woodchucks Announce Two Mizzou Players to the 2019 Roster

 

Wausau, WI – The Wisconsin Woodchucks are introducing two Mizzou players to their 2019 roster. Freshman, Cameron Swanger, and Sophomore, Mark Vierling, will be joining the Woodchucks in the upcoming season.

 

Cameron Swanger, 6’5”, 210 lbs, (R/R) Freshman, University of Missouri

Swanger grew up in Loveland, Ohio and was All-American three years in a row at Archbishop Moeller High School. Over his varsity career he had 19 stolen bases. Perfect Game tabbed him as Class of 2018 top 15 prospect in Ohio and second amongst third basemen in the state. Through four games played, Swanger is number one on the Tigers rosters with a batting average of .500 and an on-base percentage of .571.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mark Vierling, 5’10”, 179 lbs, (R/R) Sophomore, University of Missouri

Vierling is from St. Louis, Missouri and had 27 starts as a true freshman in 2018. He had five games with multiple RBI, added six doubles and a home run while scoring 17 runs and driving in 16 more. Additionally, he tallied a career-best three hits three different times as a freshman and had six multi-hit games. Vierling has a batting average of .375 with 24 at-bats and two RBIs.
