MANKATO, MN – What a night for the Habaneros and Night Mares as both games of the doubleheader showed why they are the two teams at the top of the standings.
Game one was a loss for the Habaneros as they could only score 2 runs that were brought in by Amity White (University of South Alabama) and Madelyn Birling (Bryant and Stratton College).

White brought in another 2 runs as did Emma Lee (Trine University). Four other players all brought in a run to give the Habaneros the advantage.
The story of the night though was another bomb from Paige Zender (Iowa State). Making those 7 home runs on the season for Zender, she is now leading the league by 4 HRs. She is also leading the league in runs batted in with a total of 32.
Jayme Scheck (Drake University) earned her 6th win of the season ending the night with a 3.53 ERA and 3 strikeouts.
