MANKATO, MN – A split doubleheader for the Habaneros and Steam as Mankato took game one 13-3 and La Crosse took game two 4-2.

Jayme Scheck (Drake University) earned her 9th win on the season in game one as she finished the day with a 3.50 ERA.

Indigo Fish, Brooke Holmes (St. Cloud State), and Serena Timmer (University of Minnesota-Duluth) all had 2 runs each as well.

Even though game two didn’t go the Habaneros way, Sailor Hall (Minnesota State University, Mankato) still pitched quite an impressive game. She faced 32 batters, had 5 strikeouts, and ended the night with a 3.00 ERA.

Joscelyn Bennett (Bryant and Stratton College) and Adrianna Young (St. Thomas University) were the two players from the lineup to bring in the runs.

Defensively, the Habaneros still impressed with 21 putouts and 9 assists. Zender stood out on that front as well with a total of 8 putouts.

The Habaneros will have a day off before they have a rematch with the Steam at home on Monday.
