MANKATO, MN – Make that 30 wins for the Mankato Habaneros! They secured the win in front of their home crowd on quite the rainy Monday but got it done in 6 innings to prove why they are the champions of the league.
Jessa Snippes (University of Minnesota) got her 6th win on the season with quite an impressive showing on the mound. She faced 24 batters, striking out 4 and allowing no walks or runs throughout all 6 innings. She ended her night with a 3.67 ERA.
Amity White (University of South Alabama) and Sailor Hall (University of Minnesota State, Mankato) each had 3 runs on the day and brought in 1 as well to secure the 10-0 win.
Brooke Holmes (St. Cloud State University) had an impressive day at the plate. She had 2 runs and brought in 4 to bring her batting average up to .383.
Defensively, Savannah Teale (Kentucky State University) was the most notable player from the Habaneros lineup. She had a total of 10 putouts and 10 assists to end her night with a fielding percentage of 1.000.
The Habaneros have one more home game left on quite the incredible season which will be a meeting with the Steam Wednesday before heading to La Crosse for the last game of the season.

Leveraging the 30-year success of the Northwoods League, the first for-profit Summer Collegiate Baseball League, Northwoods League Softball (NWLS) will be the first for-profit Women’s Summer Collegiate Softball League beginning play in the Upper Midwest in the summer of 2024. The purpose of the League will be to develop players for their college, Olympic and future professional play. Teams will be promoted similar to minor league baseball teams, playing games in front of fans in a fun, friendly, family-oriented environment.
