MANKATO, MN – After a few days off and a canceled game, the Habaneros take a tough loss against La Crosse to kick off a busy next few days of games.

Despite the scoreboard, the Habaneros were quite impressive defensively. Savannah Teale (Kentucky State University) had 9 putouts and Joscelyn Bennett (Bryant and Stratton College) had 3 putouts and 9 assists.

Amity White (University of Southern Alabama) was notable at the plate with 4 at-bats, 3 hits, and a triple.

Unfortunately, the Habaneros couldn’t outplay the Steam’s Sydney Schott (Spalding University) at the mound. She only allowed 8 hits, 3 runs, and had 6 strikeouts.

The Habaneros will look to bounce back as they will face La Crosse tomorrow afternoon.
