The first annual Mac & Cheese Fest in Bismarck is going to be epic! Here are some frequently asked questions to help you prepare to get your family involved in the FUN.
Do I have to be 21 years old to attend the event?
No! All ages are invited to Mac & Cheese Fest in Bismarck. You must be 21 years or older to purchase a ticket with beer tokens. IDs will be checked at the front gate when entering the event. However, there are non-beer tickets available for purchase on the website and non-alcoholic beverages will be sold at the beer garden. Parents can purchase Lil’ Mac tickets for kids ages 3-12.
Do I need to buy a ticket for my kid?
Kids 3 years old and younger get in for FREE! Kids that are older than 4 years old must have a Lil’ Mac ticket to attend the event. Kids older than 12 years old must purchase a Just the Mac ticket or VIP Mac Daddy ticket with no beer. If you are a VIP Mac Daddy ticket holder, Lil’ Mac ticket holders in your party will be allowed to enter with you during the early access period.
What is the event’s pet policy?
Pets are not allowed at Mac & Cheese Festival in Bismarck. Service animals are allowed. Check out Bismarck Parks and Recreation’s service animal policy for more information.
Can I bring any outside food or drinks?
Outside food and drinks are not permitted at Mac & Cheese Festival in Bismarck. Non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase at the event at the beer garden. The Mac & Cheese Fest in Bismarck will provide ticket holder of tickets with beer a cup for sampling. Limit (1) cup per ticketed attendee. Water stations will be available for free around the event site.
What is your cancellation policy?
All ticket sales are final. This is a RAIN OR SHINE EVENT! In the event inclement weather forces Funatix Events to postpone the event on May 13th, Mac & Cheese Festival will be rescheduled for the following day, Sunday, May 14th and tickets will be transferred to the updated date. If Funatix Events is forced to cancel the event, refunds will be sent to all paid tickets (not including tickets fees). Once the event starts, refunds will not be issued for any reason.
Funatix Events will NEVER cancel the event more than 2 hours before the start time per event rules. On the day of the event, weather forecasts are continuously evaluated at the event site and all decisions are made as early as possible. Funatix Events will have the final call on whether the event is canceled or not. In the unfortunate event that Mac & Cheese Fest in Bismarck is canceled/postponed, it is first posted on our website homepage and through our Facebook page. Area radio and television stations are next to be notified and many include updates in their news breaks.
Can I purchase additional tokens at the event?
You can! Find the token station on your event map and you may purchase additional mac or beer tokens. We will accept cash or credit cards at the event. Additional sample tickets are $3 each (both mac and beer). We will not have an ATM machine on site.
Is this a smoke free event?
There is a ZERO TOLERANCE policy on smoking at the event site. This includes any type of vaping or e-cigarettes as well. If a guest chooses to smoke, they must exit the festival area and smoke at least 20 ft away from the entrance according to Bismarck Parks and Recreation District smoking policies. Where do I park for the event?
Free parking is available at Cottonwood Park. More information on where to park will be available soon. Make sure to join the Mac & Cheese Fest First to the Cheese Email Newsletter to be the first to know about event updates like where to park. With one hour of early access to the event, VIP Mac Daddy ticket holders get the best spots in the lot being the earliest to arrive.
What time can I come to the event?
The event will officially open at 5 PM on Saturday, May 13th, 2023. VIP Mac Daddy ticket holders receive 1 hour of early access to the event, starting at 4 PM. Lil’ Mac tickets will be allowed to enter at 4 PM with VIP Mac Daddy ticket holders in their party.
Can I re-enter the event after I’ve left?
If fans wish to exit the event site, under only special circumstances an event official will put a mark on the exiting fans’ hand. Only fans that have a mark or unscanned ticket will be able to re-enter the gates.
Are there places to sit at the event?
Yes, there will be a limited number of picnic tables available at a first come, first serve basis. The event is designed to be a mix and mingle event. Look for seating areas on the official event map, which will be released soon. Stay tuned for more information.
Are strollers allowed at the event?
Yes!
What are you doing to ensure the cleanliness of the event?
Vendors will need to pass Bismarck Burleigh Public Health inspections prior to the event while on site. Hand washing stations will be provided for vendors only. In an effort to keep the event space clean, there will be multiple garbage cans available for attendees to use.
I have a food allergy. What should I expect at the event?
This is not a gluten-free, peanut-free or lactose-free environment. It is possible that some chefs may serve gluten-free options but it cannot be guaranteed. Menu items with special options will be noted on the menu, if available.
What is Mac & Cheese Festival’s promotional photo policy?
When fans purchase a ticket, they agree to allow the Mac & Cheese Festival and Funatix Events to reproduce their likeness for promotional purposes. If a fan wishes to not have their photo used for promotional purposes, please email info@funatixevents.com.
Will there be merchandise available for purchase at the event?
At this time, the best way to get Mac & Cheese Festival swag and merchandise is by purchasing a VIP Mac Daddy ticket. No merchandise will be sold at the event.
I bought tickets for my whole family. How do I share the tickets with them?
Forward the email with the PDF ticket to the person(s) you are wanting to share the ticket with! When a ticket is scanned once, it cannot be scanned again.
