MANKATO, MN – Emma Lee, a sophomore outfielder at Trine University, is aiming to bring her championship spirit to the Northwoods League. Over the course of those games, she has maintained a batting average of .321, a slugging percentage of .505, and an on-base percentage of .429. On the defensive side, Lee’s perfect fielding percentage of 1.000 highlights her reliability in the outfield. With 45 putouts and 3 assists, she’s proven her ability to make crucial plays, demonstrating quick reflexes and an exceptional glove that make her a key asset.

Leveraging the 30-year success of the Northwoods League, the first for-profit Summer Collegiate Baseball League, Northwoods League Softball (NWLS) will be the first for-profit Women’s Summer Collegiate Softball League beginning play in the Upper Midwest in the summer of 2024.  The purpose of the League will be to develop players for their college, Olympic and future professional play.  Teams will be promoted similar to minor league baseball teams, playing games in front of fans in a fun, friendly, family-oriented environment.
