Get ready to watch greatness. This is Alexis Michon. When Alexis Michon steps into the circle, dominance follows. A cornerstone of {Trine University’s} pitching staff, Michon has turned in a phenomenal season, boasting a staggering 0.83 ERA over 134.1 innings pitched. Her precision, power, and poise under pressure have translated to a near-perfect 21-1 win-loss record, along with 2 crucial saves that underline her versatility and value in any game situation.
Whether she’s starting the game or slamming the door shut, Alexis is the definition of a difference-maker. Her command of the strike zone and ability to shut down even the toughest lineups have made her one of the most feared pitchers in the country.
In 2025, Alexis Michon earned a prestigious First-Team NFCA All-Region selection, a testament to her dominance in the circle. She ranks fifth in all of Division III with a remarkable 0.83 ERA, showcasing her ability to shut down even the toughest opponents. This season, Michon etched her name into the Trine history books once again, tossing her fourth career perfect game in a five-inning, seven-strikeout gem against Ohio Northern University. Her consistent excellence throughout the year has earned her multiple MIAA Pitcher of the Week honors, including recognition for her standout performances during the MIAA Tournament.
Beyond the field, Michon excels academically, majoring in Elementary Education/Special Education Dual Licensure. She has been named to Trine University’s President’s List and was recognized as a 2024 College Sports Communicators Academic All-American
I had the honor of asking Alexis what her career success at Trine University has meant to her. She responded with the utmost class, saying, “I give a lot of that credit to my entire team for constantly having my back on and off the field. At Trine, our team focuses on being close both on and off the field, and I think that has been the key contributor to my successes here.” Alexis’s response reflects a high level of maturity, emphasizing how Trine’s strong team culture has played a central role in uniting the group and fueling her achievements.
I asked Alexis what she’s most looking forward to when it comes to the competition level in the Northwoods League. She shared that she’s excited for the opportunity to face players from the Division I level. She also mentioned that she’s eager to elevate her game, bring her softball knowledge to the next level, and blend it with her unique abilities.
I asked Alexis what she wants her future teammates to know about her. She responded, “I like to compete, and I like to win. There’s nothing better than playing with a group of your friends on the field and winning there’s just truly nothing better.” She noted that she brings a completely different energy on the field compared to who she is off it. Alexis added that she can’t wait to build new relationships and bring joy to the game she loves.
Come see Alexis Michon and the Habaneros play at ISG Field for the season kickoff on June 12th as the Habaneros faceoff against the Minot Honeybees at 6:35pm.
