The Mankato Habaneros are fired up to welcome Bella Coulman to the squad! A dynamic outfielder from the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, Coulman brings speed, energy, and a fearless glove to the outfield grass. Known for her sharp reads off the bat and aggressive base running, she has a spark plug on both sides of the ball. With collegiate experience in the competitive Horizon League, Bella is ready to make a statement this summer in Mankato. Look for her to track down extra-base hits in the gaps and make things happen at the top of the lineup.
I asked Coulman what she’s learned most about her development as a collegiate softball player since arriving at Wisconsin-Green Bay. She shared that adaptability and openness to change have been key. Growth comes from staying flexible and trusting the process. Being a player who can adjust on the fly is a coach’s dream team- first athletes like Coulman are exactly what the Mankato Habaneros value most.
Coulman prides herself on being an exceptional teammate. Here’s what she had to say about what she hopes her future teammates know about her: “I want my teammates to know I will always bring positivity, energy, and effort to the team! I love being part of a group that supports each other on and off the field.”
Earning the opportunity to play in the Northwoods League is a special honor for any player who receives the chance. I asked Coulman what the level of competition means to her. She said she is “looking forward to competing with and against some of the best college players in the country! It’s such a great opportunity to challenge myself and be in a competitive environment every day!” Pushing yourself is a powerful trait that ensures you’re always striving to get better each day.
Come see Bella Coulman and the Habaneros play at ISG Field for the season kickoff on June 12th as the Habaneros face off against the Minot Honeybees at 6:35 pm.
