
Habaneros fall to the Honeybees 3-7.
Teagan Livesay (Southeast Missouri State University) started in the circle for the Habaneros. She avoided a crooked inning in the first, leaving the bases loaded while only allowing one run.
The Habaneros would go on to answer in the bottom of the first without registering a hit. Emma Lee (Trine University) would come across on a Passed Ball.
In the top of the second inning, Livesay had control issues, walking 6 total batters and only recording 1 out. Sami Potvin (Iowa State) would enter for the Habaneros in the circle. The Honeybees would tack on 4 runs in the top half of the second on only 2 hits.
In the top half of the 3rd inning, Skylinn Pogue (Iowa) hits a Homerun for the Habaneros an absolute laser to dead center. Cutting the deficit to 3.
Minimal action in the 3rd inning, Honeybees did get another to cross extending the score to 6-2. The Habaneros would go down quietly in the bottom half.
The 4th inning was the first inning of the game where neither team produced a run. Although, there was still some action around the base-paths for both teams
Shayna Myshrall (Niagara University) got things going for the Honeybees with a Homerun in the top half of the 6th. A couple more hits around for Minot really putting it on Mankato.
The weather had something to say before we could finish this game up. In the top of the 7th we went into an hour+ minute weather delay before the umpires officially called the game after 6 innings.
