GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The Grand Forks Spitfires are excited to announce the signing of
right-handed pitcher Sadie Kahl from the University of Northern Colorado, adding another
high-impact arm to the roster for the team’s inaugural 2026 season.

Hailing from Calgary, Alberta, Kahl brings power, presence, and a fearless approach in the circle. Her command and swing-and-miss ability make her a dynamic and dangerous addition to the Spitfires pitching staff.

“I’m excited to play for the Spitfires this summer because I’m looking forward to competing at a high
level, growing as a player, and being part of a great team environment,” said Kahl.

Her competitive mindset and ability to attack hitters align with the Spitfires’ vision of building a
high-energy, relentless roster heading into their first season.

“Sadie is the type of pitcher who brings intensity every time she steps into the circle,” said General
Manager Roberto Lemus. “She has the ability to challenge hitters, generate strikeouts, and give our
team a strong presence in the circle. We’re excited to see her compete this summer.”

With Kahl joining the roster, the Spitfires continue to build a pitching staff capable of setting the
tone, controlling the game, and keeping opponents on their heels all season long. As the inaugural
season approaches, each addition brings the Spitfires one step closer to establishing a competitive
and exciting brand of softball in Grand Forks.
