GRAND FORKS, ND – The Grand Forks Spitfires continue strengthening their inaugural 2026 roster with the signing of Madison Wihlm, a right-handed pitcher and outfielder from North Dakota State University.
A native of Maple Grove, Minnesota, Wihlm brings versatility, athleticism, and competitive energy to Grand Forks as the Spitfires prepare for their first season in franchise history. Capable of contributing both in the circle and in the outfield, Wihlm adds valuable flexibility and depth to a growing roster built to compete at a high level.
Competing at North Dakota State has allowed Wihlm to continue developing into a dependable two-way athlete who can impact the game in multiple facets. Her work ethic and willingness to embrace competition make her an exciting addition to the Spitfires organization as the team continues building a strong foundation for its inaugural campaign.
General Manager Roberto Lemus shared his excitement about bringing Wihlm to Grand Forks this summer. “Madison is the kind of versatile athlete who can make an impact in several different ways,” said Lemus. “Having someone who can contribute both as a pitcher and a position player gives us tremendous flexibility.
