GRAND FORKS, ND – The Grand Forks Spitfires continue to build their inaugural 2026 roster with the signing of Sofia Meer, a freshman student-athlete from the University of Pittsburgh.
Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Meer brings talent, determination, and a strong competitive spirit to the Spitfires organization. As she begins her collegiate career at the University of Pittsburgh, Meer has already demonstrated the dedication and work ethic that make her an exciting addition to the team’s inaugural season.
Competing at the Division I level provides student-athletes with valuable opportunities to develop their skills and gain experience against top competition. Meer’s commitment to continuous improvement and passion for the game align with the culture the Spitfires are establishing as they prepare for their first season in franchise history.
