The Wausau Woodchucks and Wausau Ignite are seeking Public Address Announcers for the 2026 home season at Athletic Park!

Position Summary

The PA Announcer is the official voice of the Woodchucks and Ignite, playing a key role in delivering an exciting and memorable game day experience. This individual will collaborate closely with the marketing and game day staff to help create a fun, engaging, and family-friendly atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

• Announce starting lineups

• Deliver in-game public address announcements

• Emcee on-field promotions, presentations, and contests

• Operate stadium sound effects and music

• Assist with additional game day duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Strong and clear vocal presence

• Energetic, outgoing personality

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Comfortable leading and engaging a crowd

• Confident speaking on a microphone to audiences of all sizes

• Ability to pronounce complex names accurately

• Availability for 20–25 home games

• Able to arrive around 1 hours prior to game time

• Open to feedback and direction

• Quick-thinking with the ability to improvise when necessary

• Knowledge of baseball and softball rules/positions preferred

• Prior PA announcing or public speaking experience preferred
