DAKOTA ANGUS BEEFS UP SUPPORT FOR HONEYBEES THROUGH SPONSORSHIP

MINOT, ND – In the final weeks of their first season, the Minot Honeybees continue to shine a spotlight on the women in business who support the team through their sponsorship and commitment to Minot and the surrounding communities. One such woman is Ashley Bruner, co-owner and operator of Dakota Angus LLC in Drake, North Dakota.

For Bruner, the mission of Dakota Angus centers squarely on family and creating a legacy and a future that will support and uplift the next generation. Dakota Angus is a family affair through and through, with Bruner and her husband Travis involving their four children in the processes of raising cattle and advertising, selling, and delivering products.

“The kids have learned [about the business],” said Bruner, “and that’s what’s really exciting, because we can look to the future and see what we’re teaching our kids by building our own business.”

A sporty family at heart, the Bruner family were elated to hear that the Honeybees would be nesting in Minot, and the prospect of partnering with the team was immediately intriguing and exciting. Bruner recalls seeing the initial Facebook announcement of the team, saying, “Look at this! That’s a collegiate-level women’s softball team – in Minot!” Bruner immediately began to ponder how the introduction of such a high-level team could impact Minot.

“My daughter plays fastpitch softball in Minot, and I keep telling her how lucky she is to have the opportunity [to play] that she has at 10. And that now, because of the Honeybees and the Northwoods League, they can lead to more opportunities when she’s 21,” Bruner said. “I’m just so excited for the opportunity for little girls to watch the older girls and what they’re doing.”

Dakota Angus will continue its sponsorship throughout the 2024 summer softball season, including a sponsored night at the Bombshells theme night game on July 31st.
