The stakes don’t get any higher than this. The Minot Honeybees are hosting the Madison Night Mares in a three-game series between the top two teams in the Northwoods League. The Night Mares are safe, a 32-7 record has had them locked into the championship series for a while now, but the second spot is still up in the air.
The Honeybees are two games ahead of the Mankato Habaneros for that final spot right now. If they win one of these three games against the Night Mares, they are in. A Mankato loss puts Minot in as well.
With that being said, the Honeybees are throwing all they have at Madison tonight. Jackie Albrecht will be in the circle today, coming off of the first ever Minot Honeybees no-hitter. With the departure of Julianna Verni, Albrecht is the number-one starter on the team.
Tonight’s major game one begins at 6:35. It’s Bombshells Night at Corbett Field! Come to the ballpark or tune into the broadcast on NWL+.
