LOCAL NONPROFITS TO COMPETE FOR THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS AT HONEYBEES’ 701 COMMUNITY NIGHT

Six nonprofit leaders will take the field Wednesday as the Honeybees close their 2026 Northwoods League season at Corbett Field

MINOT, N.D. — Six local nonprofit leaders will step onto the field at Corbett Field Wednesday night to compete for thousands of dollars for their organizations during the Minot Honeybees’ inaugural 701 Community Night presented by Sky Dancer Casino & Resort. 

Throughout the game, the nonprofit representatives will face off in a series of entertaining on-field challenges. The final competitor will earn the opportunity to dig for up to $5,000 in cash, courtesy of Sky Dancer Casino.

The winning organization will also receive the net proceeds from a special 701-themed jersey auction presented by Farmers Union Insurance. Thanks to an additional contribution from the Magic City Lions Club, each of the other participating nonprofits will receive a $500 donation, ensuring every organization leaves the ballpark with meaningful support.

“701 Community Night is about using our final Honeybees game of the season to celebrate and give back to the organizations that make Minot a better place to live,” said Monica Blake, General Manager and Managing Partner of the Minot Hot Tots and Honeybees. “Fans will have the opportunity to cheer on local nonprofit leaders, learn more about their work and help us generate a significant impact in just one night.”

The event will take place Wednesday, July 29, as the Honeybees play their final home game of the 2026 season. Local businesses and community organizations will also be featured throughout the ballpark.

Fans will have another chance to win big through a new outfield challenge presented by Bubblr. A giant Bubblr can will be placed beyond the outfield fence, and if a Honeybees player hits the target, one lucky fan will win a year’s supply of Bubblr.

The first 100 fans through the gates will receive either a Bubblr claw clip or pair of sunglasses. The night will also feature family-friendly entertainment, on-field games and the Honeybees’ signature in-game promotions.

Finally, the Honeybee of the Year presented by Absolute Honey will be announced directly following the game.
