Hoosier Talent Heads to Richmond

The Flying Mummies are bringing in two impact freshmen from Indiana University Bloomington — and both bring championship pedigrees from the state of Indiana.


Elijah Bennett

🏫 Cathedral High School

Elijah Bennett brings size, strength, and versatility to the Mummies lineup.

At Cathedral High School, Bennett hit .394 as a senior, recording 37 hits, four home runs, six doubles, and 34 RBIs while leading the Irish to the 2025 3A Sectional Championship. He earned IHSBCA 3A All-State Honorable Mention honors and competed in the 2025 North/South All-Star Game.

Ranked the No. 307 overall recruit in the Class of 2025 by Perfect Game and the 11th-ranked player in Indiana, Bennett committed to IU as a freshman in high school — a sign of his long-term upside and steady development.


Landen Fry

🏫 Snider High School

Consistency defines Landen Fry.

At Snider High School, Fry hit .431 over his high school career, compiling 147 hits, 107 runs, 35 doubles, 117 RBIs, nine triples, and six home runs. He helped lead Snider to sectional and regional championships during his senior season.

His honors include:

  • 2025 IHSBCA 4A All-State Honorable Mention

  • 2025 PBR 4A All-State Selection

  • First Team All-Summit Athletic Conference

Ranked the No. 19 recruit in Indiana (Class of 2025) by Perfect Game, Fry brings toughness and athleticism to the infield — competing in football and basketball during high school before focusing fully on baseball.
