Mummies Unwrapped: Molessa & Lombardo
The Flying Mummies continue to build a competitive roster, unwrapping two impact additions in Max Molessa and Trent Lombardo.
Molessa, an outfielder from West Virginia University, brings elite athleticism and a winning background. The 6’0”, 197-pound redshirt freshman was a 3x First Team All-State selection and the 2024 Little Kanawha Conference Player of the Year at Williamstown HS. A multi-sport standout, he also dominated on the football field—earning state titles and the 2023 J.R. House Award as the top quarterback in West Virginia. His toughness and competitive edge make him a player to watch.
Behind the plate, Lombardo adds experience and offensive strength. The University of Evansville catcher, standing 6’0”, 190 pounds, has collegiate experience at Penn State and La Salle, along with summer ball in the Northwoods League and Valley League. At IMG Academy, he earned Best Hitter honors while posting an impressive .433/.513/.600 slash line, showing his ability to consistently produce at the plate.
Together, Molessa and Lombardo bring versatility, experience, and a strong competitive mindset to the Flying Mummies roster.
