KENOSHA, Wis. –  Traveling to Wisconsin for four road games over the weekend, the Royal Oak Leprechauns were swept by the Green Bay Rockers before going 1-1 against the first half champion Kenosha Kingfish.

In the first game up in Green Bay, the Leprechauns started strong, holding a 6-2 lead into the late innings but the Rockers put up a seven-run seventh inning and would end up taking a 10-7 win. 

Leading the offfense, Connor Larkin tallied a trio of hits, including his fourth home run of the season, and drove in 2 runs. Fellow lefty Michael Zielinski also drove in a pair of runs, collecting a double as well.

In the finale at Capital Credit Union Park, it was some big fourth and fifth innings to seal the win for Green Bay, as they capped off the sweep with an 8-3 victory.

Mark Collins and Steven Cavaco each had multi-hit performances with an extra-base hit, but otherwise, the offense could not get much done against the Rockers pitching staff.

Moving on to Kenosha, the Kingfish proved to be trouble in the opener, taking a 14-5 win, but the Leprechauns ended their three-game losing streak on Monday, getting an early lead and maintaining it for a 7-3 triumph in the road trip finale.

With the bats, the two Yale Bulldogs in the order were both contributors, with Owen Turner collecting three RBIs in the opener, and Jack Dauer driving in 4 runs in game two.

In the finale, power hitters Kam Yearsley and Luke Kosko each sent home runs over the left-field fence, while starting pitcher Jon Whiteside did more than enough on the mound, striking out nine Kingfish hitters across six innings of work.

With just 12 games remaining in the regular season, the Leprechauns return home for a pair of games against the Kalamazoo Growlers on July 28 and 29. First pitch for both games from Memorial Park is set for 6:35 p.m. ET.
