ROYAL OAK, Mich. – The Leprechauns first baseman, Oliver Service (Marshall University) was named to the 2026
Northwoods All-Star game roster last week. Service has been exceptional both offensively and defensively this season, making him a must-add to the ballot.
Having playing 27 games since July 3rd, Service has recorded 30 RBIs which is tied for eighth in the league. Hitting a .340 batting average, the Detroit native currently sits ninth in the league rankings. He has recorded an imp

ressive 36 hits and six home runs on the season so far.
Not only has he been an offensive weapon but defensively has first base on lockdown. Service recorded 199 put-outs and only three errors in 27 games.
Service attributes his success to the experience he has gained throughout several
seasons in the Northwoods league and learning from his teammates and coaches.
“Taking results out of the factor and kind of just diving into the team and with what Coaches DJ LeMahieu and Chris Faust are telling me,” Service said. “Just coming out here every day with the same mindset, same attitude, and just staying on the same level and just let everything take care of itself kind of thing.”
When asked about what it means to represent the Leprechauns at the All-Star game, Service expressed nothing but confidence.
“We all just kind of come out here and do whatever, let our work play out on the field. So I know we’re going to go out there and make some noise and represent the Leps very well.”
The 2026 Northwoods League All-Star game will be taking place on Wednesday, July 8 at 8:05 p.m. (EST). Fans can support Service and his teammates Kellen English and Luke Kosko, as they look to represent Royal Oak.
