Estrada Set to Lead Ignite into Season Three

Wausau, WI – Wausau Ignite Softball is thrilled to announce that Jasmin Estrada will return as Head Coach in 2027. Estrada has served as head coach since the Ignite’s inaugural season in 2025 and has played a pivotal role in building team culture and recruitment through her entire time with the team.

Under Estrada’s leadership in 2026, the Wausau Ignite had a historic season. The Ignite were one of only two teams to finish the season over .500 with a record of 21-19. After coming off a 12-30 season in 2025, Estrada stormed back and led the Ignite to their first ever Northwoods League Softball playoff appearance. Under her direction, the Ignite sent four players to the inaugural Northwoods League Softball All-Star Game, collected four post-season all-star awards, a Rawlings Hitting Award, and a Rawlings Finest in the Field Award.

Estrada will be coming off her first season as Assistant Coach at Augustana University. Prior to this season, she served as an assistant coach at Upper Iowa University and a graduate assistant at Northern State University. Estrada played college softball at St. Cloud State University, where she still holds many hitting records.
