Stiles to Return to Ignite for Upcoming 2026 Season

Wausau, WI- Riley Stiles will be returning to the Wausau Ignite for the 2026 season. Stiles was a key player in the inaugural Ignite season and brings experience and high energy to this season’s team.

Last season with the Ignite, Stiles pitched 105 innings, the most of any pitcher in the league. Through 25 games, she recorded 38 strikeouts with a record of 7-8 on the season. Stiles pitched the most complete games as an Ignite pitcher with six.

This season at Lake Forest, Stiles is currently 3-2 through six starts and five complete games. In 42 innings she struck out 26 and maintained a .288 batting average against. Her standout game so far this spring has come against the University of Northwestern on March 12th as she struck out six and only allowed four hits. Lake Forest is currently 8-6 on the season and will continue play on Friday, April 3rd with a double header against Monmouth College.

Leveraging the 31-year success of the Northwoods League, the first for-profit Summer Collegiate Baseball League, Northwoods League Softball (NWLS) is the first for-profit Women’s Summer Collegiate Softball League beginning play in the Upper Midwest in the summer of 2024. The purpose of the League will be to develop players for their college, Olympic and future professional play. Teams will be promoted similar to minor league baseball teams, playing games in front of fans in a fun, friendly, family-oriented environment.
