Riverfront Stadium in Waterloo, Iowa where the Bucks won their 7th of 8 meetings against the Border Cats this season.

The Waterloo Bucks (44-24, 20-13) doubled up the Thunder Bay Border Cats (22-46, 8-25) by a 6-3 score at Riverfront Stadium in Iowa. The Border Cats had a 2-0 and 3-2 lead erased in the game and all the scoring was done by the end of the 5th inning.

The Bucks offense was paced by 2-4 nights from Pat MacKenzie, Conor McClain, Zach Soria and Ryan Nagle; all of which added a run scored. McClain had a double and a pair of RBI's while Soria knocked in a RBI.

Thunder Bay got 2-4 night responses from Backstop Christian Correa (Nicholls State) and Jacob Robson (Mississippi State). Correa hit his 12th double, the only extra-base hit for the Cats and knocked in his 28th RBI. Jordan Serena (Columbia University) also had an RBI single in the contest.

Spot Starter Nick Veale and Reliever Aaron Myers combined to lead the Bucks to victory. Veale picked up the win (4-1) going five innings giving up three runs (two earned) on seven hits with two walks and two strikeouts. Myers put up the perfomance of the game for either squad. The Righthander came in and cleaned house for his 1st save of the season. He faced the minimum twelve batters, and retired them all to the dugout, over four innings, including four whiffs.

Border Cats Starting Pitcher Yuji Suzuki (Concordia-St. Paul) allowed ten hits and all six runs (five earned) with two walks and three strikeouts over a six inning outing. He was asked to go as far as possible with the start, taking the loss (2-5). Devin McLemore (Winston Salem State) pitched a three up three down 7th with a pair of strikeouts. Gunnar Kay (Dallas Baptist) matched McLemore's shutout inning in the 8th allowing a hit and striking down one Buck.

Thunder Bay wraps up the week long road trip in St. Cloud. They will face the Rox on Thursday night at Joe Faber Field starting at 8:05pm EDT/7:05 local. The Border Cats will then wrap up the road trip on Friday night before coming home for the final two games of the regular season on the weekend. The Cats will welcome the Wisconsin Woodchucks to TBaytel Park to wrap up the season on Saturday and Sunday night.
