CATS FALL TO ROX

The Border Cats fell to the St. Cloud Rox 2-1 in a hard fought game Friday night at TbayTel Park pushing their second half record to 2-1.

Starting pitcher Zach Thiac (Nicholls State) went the first seven innings allowing only four hits while striking out five while Nate Steger was handed his second loss of the season going two innings, allowing an RBI double in the top of the ninth and allowing only four hits.

Carter McEachern (Trinity University) notched an RBI that brought home Jared James (Long Beach State) in the bottom of the first to get the Cats on the board while a total of five Border Cats put up hits for the team.

The Border Cats look to split the last game of the home stand Saturday night at 6:05pm EST at TbayTel Park.
