'Chucks top first-place Mallards, 10-7, in first of two-game series

 

Madison, WIS – The Wisconsin Woodchucks (11-10) beat the Madison Mallards (14-9), 10-7, at Warner Park in Madison, Wisconsin.

Stevie Mangrum (Virginia Tech) had two singles, two runs batted in and a run scored. Steele Walker (Oklahoma) had three singles, two of which drove in runs, and a run scored himself. Austin Blakeley (Texas A&M-Corpus Christi) added two hits, two runs and an RBI of his own.

Brandon Lambright (Abilene Christian) worked four innings in relief to get the save, giving up just one run.

Robert Zeigler (Kent State) got the win for the 'Chucks.
