Ryan Wasson – Lead Play-by-Play

Hello Dickinson! My name is Ryan Wasson, and I’m so excited to serve as the lead play-by-play broadcaster for your Badlands Big Sticks! I’m a proud graduate of Washington State University and have lived in Washington all my life. I grew up in Kirkland, a large suburb thirty minutes from Seattle. I am a man of faith, born into a Christian home with my sister Emma and my brother Nathan. Outside my passion, I love to work out, socialize, spend time outdoors, and sprinkle in some gaming on the side.

My broadcasting career started as early as high school, where I announced junior varsity basketball games as a student at Bellevue Christian. From there, I took my talents to Washington State, broadcasting football, basketball, baseball, soccer, and volleyball for our student-run sports radio show, KUGR. Alongside our sportscasts, I served as an analyst for various sports shows on WSU’s student-run TV station, Cable 8. Before graduating last May, I gained my first real-world experience as a sports broadcaster, acting as play-by-play and color commentator for the Dub Sea Fish Sticks in Seattle.

My passion for the world of sports has never wavered since I was a kid, and I’m thrilled to take the next step in my career alongside the Big Sticks. GO STICKS!

Adam Busack – Color Commentator

Howdy, Dickinson!  My name is Adam Busack, and I’m thrilled to be the color commentator for your 2024 Badlands Big Sticks!

I am a proud native of Denver, Colorado, so naturally, I love spending time outdoors.  When I’m not hiking the Rocky Mountains or enjoying a concert at Red Rocks, though, I eat, sleep, and breathe Colorado Rockies baseball!

My professional life in baseball began as a student manager for the University of Missouri for the 2021 season.  M-I-Z!  I am currently a senior at the University, studying journalism.  In my free time, I serve as the assistant general manager for our student radio station, KCOU 88.1fm, and I work as a beat reporter for the University of Missouri football team for our local newspaper, the Columbia Missourian.  My life in baseball has taken me around the US for the past several years, including to North Dakota last summer, where I worked as an intern for the Larks in Bismarck.  I am thrilled to return to the Roughrider State as the Big Sticks make the jump to the Northwoods League this season!

I can’t wait to help tell the story of the 2024 Big Sticks, and I look forward to seeing you all at the ballpark!  GO STICKS!

Claydon Dunn – Fan Engagement

Hello Dickinson and Big Sticks family! My name is Clay Dunn, and I am fired up to be your fan experience intern for the 2024 Big Sticks season! I am currently a sophomore at the University of Miami (go ‘canes!), pursuing my bachelor’s degree in sport administration.

Growing up in Chanhassen, Minnesota, my passion for baseball began with none other than my hometown Twins. Going to the ballpark as a kid sparked my love for the game that has only grown stronger ever since. Outside of school I enjoy playing basketball, serving my community, and playing my guitar. Working in the sports industry has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember, and I surround myself with them in any way I can. My first experiences working in sports included supervising ballfields, as well as coaching youth basketball at camps around the Twin Cities. At the U, I have volunteered in operations for the Mens & Women’s track and field teams, as well as “Kids & Culture”, a volunteer group aimed toward mentoring the youth within our community and beyond.

I am absolutely thrilled to join the team in Dickinson and I’ll see you all soon! GO STICKS!

John Campbell – Head Photographer & Videographer

Greetings, Dickinson! I’m John Campbell, and I’m thrilled to step into the spotlight as the
2024 Big Sticks Photographer & Videographer. Currently, I’m immersed in the dynamic world of
sports media, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Sports Media at Wayne State College.

Two years ago, I got into sports photography after retiring from college track and field
because of an injury. I decided to shake things up and switch majors from Biology Pre-PA to
Electronic Media during my sophomore year. The moment that really sparked my passion
happened later that year during a mentorship at the Tennessee Volunteer football fall football
camp. It inspired me; pushing me to jump into this exciting journey of capturing moments
through the lens.

Currently, I wear multiple hats at my college, serving as the Creative Producer of
Photography & Videography for Wildcat Athletics. Beyond that, I’m the sports director for our
school’s TV station, KWSC, and a sports designer for our newspaper, The Wayne Stater.

As I gear up for this next chapter in my sports career, I can’t wait to bring my passion
and creativity to the ballpark. Get ready for an unforgettable season with the Big Sticks! GO

Camden Elliot – Stadium Operations, Hospitality, & Food Service

Hi Dickinson! My name is Camden Elliott and I’m excited to serve as the Stadium Operations, Hospitality, and Food Service intern for the upcoming summer!
I was born and raised in Georgetown, Texas, and am currently a senior majoring in marketing at the University of Houston. When I’m not busy working, you can catch me working out, studying various sports histories, and performing in the Spirit of Houston marching band.

In the past, I have gotten to serve as a social media analyst for my church and as a setup coordinator for Sun City Texas, and currently serve as an academic coach for the University of Houston Athletic Department and as an administrative assistant for the Spirit of Houston. While I had always paid attention to various sports, baseball had never been on my radar. My eyes opened up to the sport after I had the opportunity to perform in the 2022 World Series Parade and bore witness to more than 1 million people celebrating the Astros’ success. Since then I’ve been on top of the game and have loved every second of it.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in Houston, but I look forward to seeing nature again. I am excited to help create the best gameday environment possible for the fans and am excited to get the season underway. GO STICKS!

I am currently a junior at the University of South Carolina (go cocks!) pursuing a Bachelor’s in Statistics with a minor in Sports Media.

My interest in stats started as a kid when I would help my dad would do the book for my older brothers’ basketball and baseball games. From there, any chance I got to work or volunteer for any job at a sporting event, from keep the book, managing the clock, or even working concessions at Lincoln Financial Field. I have also volunteered as a coach for my neighborhood basketball and softball teams.  As someone who grew up in Philadelphia, PA, baseball has been a part of my life for a while. Since I was a little kid in a crowd of thousands during the Phillies 2008 World Series Parade, my love for baseball and other sports has only grown into a great passion of mine. Outside of school, I enjoy listening to music, exercising, and following all the Philly sports teams, especially the Eagles.

I cannot wait to get to ballpark this summer and get this season started! GO STICKS!!
