The Battle Creek Bombers lost 4-3 to the Madison Mallards on the last game of the series. The Bombers were down 3-0 but were able to get 3 runs on a homerun. The Mallards came back in the top of the ninth to get one run and give them the win.

In the first inning Josh Parr hit a double to the outfield for the first hit for Madison. Reed Gragani hit to right for an RBI double to put the Mallards up, 1-0.

In the fifth Ryan Levine hit a double and went to third on a past ball. Levine scored on a fielders choice to make the score 2-0. Gragani got his second RBI double of the night, putting the Mallards up by three runs.

In the sixth inning the Bombers were able to come back and tie the game up. Both Sean Deegan and Jordan Dean hit back-to-back singles. Andrew Lawrence hit a homerun scoring both Deegan and Dean and making the game 3-3.

Levine hit for a double, his second of the game, and was able to score on a passed ball with two outs. That ended the game with a 4-3 win for the Mallards.

The Bombers go on the road starting tomorrow, against the Waterloo Bucks. The will then travel to Eau Claire for a two game set there. The Bombers will be back home Wednesday, August 11 for Strikeout Cancer Night.
