The Bullfrogs hopped out to an early lead and kept it the entire game. They scored eight runs on nine hits and one error. The Bombers scored two runs on eight hits and one error.
To start the first inning, Brad Zapenas hit a single and then Dan Douglas followed suit and hit a line drive to put him on base and move up Zapenas. Brad Schreiber stepped up to bat and on his ninth pitch he hit a homerun, putting the Bullfrogs ahead 3-0.
In the bottom of the first Jordan Dean hit a single and then both Andrew Lawrence and Parker Berberet were walked. Josh Lyon hit a single to score Dean cutting the lead to 3-1.
Jim Pipolo and Andrew Eichstaedt both hit singles to get on base. Then an error that put the ball in the Bullfrogs dugout they scored two runs making it 5-1.
Dean was walked and Lawrence hit for a single. Berberet was able to grab a single and score Dean. That put the score at 5-2.
In the sixth inning Brent Young hit a lone homerun, putting the Bullfrogs out in front, 6-2. Another homerun by Schreiber put a run on the board for the Bullfrogs. In the ninth inning Joe Betcher was hit by a pitch while the bases were loaded ending the game, 8-2.
Dean went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, while Josh Lyon went 3-for-5 with one RBI. Joel Delorit got the win for the Bullfrogs, throwing 6 innings, allowing seven hits.
