The Bombers dropped their second straight game Sunday night in La Crosse, a 12-6 blowout to the La Crosse Loggers at Copeland Park.
The Bombers struck early, scoring four runs in the first two innings on bases-loaded walks and a Troy White double. Leading 6-1 after four and a half innings, following base-hit RBIs from Tyler Hall and Rhett Goodmiller, the Loggers began to decimate the Bombers pitching staff, scoring six runs in the fifth, and another five in the seventh.
Matt Dearden, Chad Jasman, Scott Simmons, and John Morrison all gave up more than two runs and piggybacked to the finish line.
The Bombers enjoy 2011’s final off-day on Monday before embarking on a stretch of 21 games in 19 days, beginning with a two-game series in Madison to finish the roadtrip.
