Bombers to Host Talons Out Honor Flight Fundraiser to Support Our Local Veterans

Battle Creek, Mich. – The Battle Creek Bombers are teaming up with the Talons Out Honor Flight to host a fundraiser at C.O. Brown Stadium on August 7th, in conjunction with Military Appreciation Night.

The Honor Flight Program is a national non-profit charity organization that provides World War II Veterans with an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. to see the World War II Memorial as a small tribute to express our thanks for their bravery. Talons Out is the Southwest Michigan division of the National Honor Flight Network. From the generous donations received, the philanthropic organization has sent several of our veterans to the National World War II Memorial for a day of remembrance.

Talons Out’s President and Co-Founder, Bobbie Bradley, announced, “Military Appreciation Night with the Battle Creek Bombers, can it get any better? An All-American Baseball game and a chance for our veterans to interact with their community. And while Moe Skeeter is a slightly different type of Bomber, I’m sure our Army Air Corp Veterans will get a kick out of meeting him. We are ready for a little summertime fun!”

As part of their partnership with the Bombers, Talons Out will be selling fundraising tickets for Military Appreciation Night, scheduled for August 7th. For every ticket package sold, partial proceeds will directly benefit the Talons Out Program and our local veterans. Our respected World War II Veterans will also be recognized for their brave efforts at CO Brown Stadium on this night.
