Mequon, Wisc.—For the second straight day fog rolling in from Lake Michigan affected a game in which the Battle Creek Bombers played in. The first was against Kenosha, a game that was pushed back 15 minutes in order to let the fog clear, and the second against Lakeshore today. The Bombers prevailed against the Kingfish, 10-5. Today the presence of fog was not so kind to the Bombsquad. The Bombers fell to the Chinooks 9-0 in 6 as the game would be called due to fog.

Austen Thrailkill (Embry-Riddle) was on the bump for the Bombers, he would not be there for very long, however. The tall lefty hurler was hit early and often by the Chinooks who chased him from the game after 2.2 innings of work and six runs against him, only three of which were earned.

Matt Rhodes (Hardin Simmons) replaced Thrailkill and would see three more Chinooks cross the plate before his night was over.

The Bombers bats had only one hit on the day.

The game was called in the top of the 7th inning due to fog.

The Bombers will look to even the series tomorrow. First pitch 6:35 Central Time.

The Battle Creek Bombers are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Playing its 21st season of summer collegiate baseball, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 115 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (DET) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (WAS), Curtis Granderson (NYM), Allen Craig (STL) and Ben Zobrist (TB).
