2025 La Crosse Steam Schedule Announced

Get ready for another summer of fun and softball at the Shipyard!

 

LA CROSSE, WI – Opening Day of the 2025 Northwoods League softball season is just six short months away as the Steam front office unveiled their schedule for 2025.

Brandi Alonzo will be returning to lead the Steam this year as they open their 2025 campaign on Tuesday, June 10th at Wausau where they will take on Wausau Softball. On Wednesday, June 11th, the Steam will return to Copeland Park for their home opener against the Mankato Habaneros. 

Steam fans will enjoy 21 home games at the Shipyard over the course of 17 dates spanning from the June 11th home opener through the regular season finale on Saturday, August 2nd. New this year, Northwoods League Softball will have official playoffs for the title of Northwoods League Softball Champion, taking place during the second week of August. 

The Northwoods League has announced the addition of one team for the 2025 season. Wausau Softball will be joining in the second season of Northwoods League Softball.

Leveraging the 31-year success of the Northwoods League, the first for-profit Summer Collegiate Baseball League, Northwoods League Softball (NWLS) will be the first for-profit Women’s Summer Collegiate Softball League beginning play in the Upper Midwest in the summer of 2024.  The purpose of the League will be to develop players for their college, Olympic and future professional play.  Teams will be promoted similar to minor league baseball teams, playing games in front of fans in a fun, friendly, family-oriented environment.
