Versatile Infielder Returns for Another Go-Around
LA CROSSE, WIS. – The 2026 La Crosse Steam roster continues to take shape, as junior infielder Grace Frechette returns for her third season with the organization.
Frechette has been a key part of the Steam’s infield over the past two summers, seeing time at second base, third base, and shortstop. After appearing in 37 games in 2024 and hitting .286 with 19 RBI’s in 112 at-bats, she elevated her performance in 2025. In 39 games, Frechette batted .306 while leading the team with 13 doubles and finishing second in both RBI’s (29) and slugging percentage (.492).

A proven and consistent contributor during her time with the Steam, she looks to build on her success and continue adding to her strong body of work as the upcoming season fast approaches.
