Madison Night Mares Name Aaron Moore as Head Coach
Moore will helm the Night Mares in its first season as a member of the Northwoods League

The Madison Night Mares are excited to name Aaron Moore as the team’s Head Coach. This move comes after the previous Head Coach, Raquel Savoy, resigned from the team.

Aaron Moore spent the 2023 season as the assistant coach at Trinity Christian College (TCC). At Trinity, his team saw marked improvements across several offensive categories including average, on base percentage and slugging percentage. Prior to TCC, Moore spent seven seasons as the head coach at Roosevelt University and Morton College (NJCAA).

Prior to joining the college coaching ranks, Moore spent seven seasons with the Chicago Bandits of National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) as the team’s general manager. While working with the Bandits, Moore helped guide them to three NPF World Championships, including back-to-back titles in 2015 and 2016.

Prior to working with the Bandits, Moore spent four years working for the Rockford/Texas Thunder (NPF) franchise. Moore has additional coaching experience at the travel ball and high school softball levels, where he has collected more than 500 career wins as a head coach.

“I’m very excited about the opportunity to be the head coach of the Night Mares for the 2024 season. This is going to be a great experience for the players, coaches and fans of the league and I can’t wait to get on the field,” Moore said. “A big thank you to the Madison ownership group, Sam Rubin and Savanna Rainey for this opportunity. They are really doing some great things and I can’t wait to be a part of it.”

“I’m glad to have Coach Moore this season and I’m also excited to be able to learn from him. I think he will bring a great amount of knowledge and experience from his days as the General Manager of the Chicago Bandits,” Night Mares General Manager, Samantha Rubin, said.

The Madison Night Mares will host the La Crosse Steam for its home opener on Sunday, June 16th at 6:05 p.m. The complete 2024 schedule can be found here. Group outings, season ticket packages, and eight ticket flex plans are now available by calling the Madison Softball office at 608-246-4277. Fans can reserve their season tickets now for only $50.
