1. How many games will the team play?
Prepare for a softball extravaganza! We’ve got 42 games lined up – 21 at home, 21 on the road. In 2024, we’re serving up 3 doubleheaders alongside Mallards baseball games July 6th, July 8th, and July 28th. And guess what? Fans get to witness both games for the price of one Mallards ticket! We’re also throwing in 4 single admission softball doubleheaders on June 22nd, July 9th, July 17th, and August 3rd, where one ticket is your golden pass to a double dose of softball goodness. The rest of the home dates will feature one 7 inning softball contest.

2. How will the field be setup?
We’re not just playing on any old turf; we’re rolling out the red… or should we say, green carpet! New artificial turf on the infield, a portable pitching mound, and a state-of-the-art movable outfield fence. It’s a field makeover so fabulous, even Mother Nature will be jealous!

3. Who will coach the team & assemble the roster?
Hold on to your mitts! We’re on a nation-wide quest for our softball team’s head honcho. Once we’ve snagged the coach extraordinaire, they’ll be leading the charge in recruiting our dream team. 4. I am associated with a softball team, how can we get involved?
Calling all softball enthusiasts! Whether you run a team, are a player, or just a dedicated fan, we want you on our team. Fundraising, player appearances, team donations, playing on our fancy new field, and even special shout-outs during games – the options are as endless as a long home run! 5. How long are the games?
Get ready for the 5th inning stretch because we’re serving up 7-inning games! Typical game times run from 1.5-2 hrs, giving you just the right dose of softball excitement.

6. Where will the players stay?
Our players aren’t just teammates; they’re family! They’ll be bunking with host families in the Madison area. Wanna become a host family and get some sweet benefits? Get all the details here.

7. How many players on the roster?
Sweet 16! We’re rolling with a squad of 16 fabulous players.

8. Where will the players come from?
From sea to shining sea! We’re on the hunt for the best players in the country. Expect a star-studded lineup from Wisconsin, the Midwest and beyond in our inaugural year.

9. When will tickets go on sale?
The hype is real! Season ticket packages and group tickets are up for grabs right now. Single-game tickets? Mark your calendars for mid-May!

10. What will the name of the team be?
The million-dollar question! We’re putting the naming power in your hands. Submit your ideas here until February 1, and we’ll unveil the winning name in early April.

11. What will the games be like?
Hold onto your peanuts and Cracker Jacks because it’s going to be a blast! Our league is the first to bring summer collegiate softball to a fun environment similar to a Mallards game, and we’re turning up the fun factor. Between-inning shenanigans, on-fire plays on the field, delicious eats and drinks, and games for the kiddos – we’re bringing the party to every game!

12. When will gates open before each game?
30 minutes.

13. Are dogs allowed at the games?
We will host at least one dog friendly game every summer. Stay tuned for more details for the pooch nights at the ballpark.

14. Will there be themed nights at the ballpark?
You betcha! Get ready for Hawaiian Shirt Night, Superhero Night, and maybe even Dress Like Your Favorite Softball Player Night. Stay tuned for the full lineup of themed shenanigans.

15. Can I propose at a game?
Love is in the air! Drop us an email at madisonsoftballinfo@gmail.com, and we’ll see if we can arrange a grand slam proposal. Just promise us you’ll say “I do” if the answer is yes.

16. Can I bring a sign to the games?
Sign us up for the creativity! We encourage signs, banners, and anything that adds to the festive atmosphere. Just keep it friendly and fun.
