The Northwoods League is expanding once again, and this time it’s bringing a unique touch of ancient history to the field.
The Royal Oak Leprechauns are excited to welcome the Richmond Flying Mummies to the Great Lakes East Division. The team will make its debut in the summer of 2026 at Historic Don McBride Stadium in Richmond, Indiana. McBride Stadium, originally built in 1937, is being renovated to include new seating areas, family zones, and upgraded amenities to create an even better fan experience.
Announced on October 6, 2025, the Flying Mummies name celebrates Richmond’s unique history, from its connection to the Wright Brothers to the two mummies famously displayed in the city. The brand blends creativity, community pride, and a sense of fun that fits perfectly with the Northwoods League.
The Leprechauns are looking forward to welcoming another great opponent to the division and can’t wait to face the Flying Mummies in 2026.
