Leprechauns FAQ

What league do the Leprechauns play in?
The Royal Oak Leprechauns compete in the Northwoods League, a premier wood-bat league founded in 1994 where top college players play during the summer. Notable alumni include Max Scherzer, Curtis Granderson, Pete Alonso, and Chris Sale.

Where do the Leprechauns play?
Our home field is Memorial Park in Royal Oak. We’ve invested over $500,000 into upgrades including a turf field, new scoreboard, sound system, improved seating areas, and concessions. Each year we continue making improvements with the goal of creating a premier baseball venue for the community.

Where do I park on gamedays?
We offer free parking directly across from the field, plus a smaller lot next to the ballpark. The main lot can be accessed from either Coolidge or 13 Mile Road.

How much do tickets cost?
We’re dedicated to keeping games affordable. Tickets start at just $7.

Are you part of the Jimmy John Field organization?
No, we are not affiliated with Jimmy John Field.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?
Outside food and beverages are not permitted, but we offer a wide variety of affordable concessions inside the ballpark.

Do you sell alcohol?
Yes! We serve beer, wine, seltzers, and cocktails — with beer starting as low as $3.

Is the venue handicap accessible?
We have wheelchair-accessible seating areas. Please contact us before your visit and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.

When does the season start?
The season begins on Memorial Day and runs through mid-August. We play 72 games total, including 36 at home — plenty of baseball action all summer long!

Can I watch the games on TV or online?
Every Leprechauns game is streamed live through the NWL+ Streaming App or ESPN+.

What happens in the event of a rainout?
In the event of bad weather, the best place to check for updates is on the Leprechauns’ social media pages. If a game is cancelled or postponed, we’ll post immediately with reschedule details and ticket redemption instructions.

Leprechauns Rainout Policy

  • No refunds are given for rainouts.

  • If a game is rained out before the 5th inning is complete, reserved seat tickets may be exchanged for any remaining regular season game.

  • If a rainout occurs three (3) hours or more after the gates have opened, all tickets and group outing packages are considered used in full, regardless of how much of the game was played.

  • If a game is shortened due to weather but has been played through at least 5 innings (making it an official game), all tickets will be considered used and will have no further value.

What can be brought into the stadium?

No food or beverages can be brought into the ballpark. The exception will be made for one factory sealed bottle of water or one empty refillable container per person. Other items NOT allowed in the ballpark are:

  • Coolers
  • Umbrellas
  • Large Radios
  • Bikes
  • Roller skates
  • Rollerblades
  • Skateboards
  • Bats and Balls (including soccer balls, footballs, basketballs etc.)
  • Bags larger than 4.5 x 6.5 unless it is clear

For our lawn section, fans can bring blankets and foldable chairs.
