Wausau, WI (August 12, 2013) – The major renovation project of Athletic Park started today with the Woodchucks baseball season coming to a close yesterday.

The renovation of Athletic Park, which is estimated to cost $2.7 million, will be paid for entirely with private funds.  The renovation will feature premium seating in the bowl with four-top table seating at field level and drink rail seating on the concourse.  There will be three new Luxury Suites that will accommodate 49 people and a new press box.  The renovations will also feature a new team store and expanded ticket offices and customer-service area.

The renovations will also revamp the ballparks exterior, making it more inviting to fans.

The project is scheduled to be completed April 2014.
