'Chucks Bring In A Tiger For The 2014 Season

Wausau, WIS – The Wisconsin Woodchucks announce today the addition of a new player to the 2014 roster in left-handed pitcher Austin Tribby from the University of Missouri.

Tribby, a 6’4 left-handed pitched is in his sophomore year at the University of Missouri. Tribby has made 9 appearances out of the bullpen this year striking out 7 and holding opposing batters to a .118 batting average. He compiled a 23-4 overall record with a 1.02 ERA in 165.2 innings pitched in his four-year career at Springfield Catholic High School in Springfield, Missouri. Tribby hit .340 with four home runs and 36 RBI while posting a 10-0 record with a 0.55 ERA and 104 strikeouts in his senior season. Austin was named First Team All-State in 2011 and 2012, was given a First Team All-Conference and All-District designation in both seasons as well.

Austin Tribby is the 10th player the Woodchucks have announced this spring.  Single game tickets will go on sale April 22nd for all 36 home games down at the newly renovated Athletic Park. The Woodchucks will open up their home slate for the season on Friday, May 30th in the 2014 Home Opener presented by The Samuels Group.
