Woodchucks Hire New Radio Voice for the 2015 Season
The Wisconsin Woodchucks of the Northwoods League are pleased to announce the addition of Jason Dorow as the team’s new radio voice for the 2015 season.
Dorow will call all 72 Woodchucks’ games on WRIG (1390 AM), with all games simulcast on 93.9 FM and Sunday games tri-cast on 550 AM. Dorow will also assist in multimedia projects and team communications.
“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of the Woodchucks organization,” Dorow said. “There’s nothing I love more than calling a great game, and I’m looking forward to contributing to an incredible season for Woodchucks’ fans.”
During his freshman and sophomore years at Northwestern University, Dorow has worked as a play-by-play broadcaster and color commentator for WNUR 89.3 FM, Northwestern’s student-run radio station. Dorow has called a variety of sports, including baseball, softball, basketball and volleyball. Dorow also currently serves as co-producer of The SportsVoice, WNUR’s weekly sports talk show, and works as a beat writer and editor for Inside NU, SB Nation’s Northwestern blog and online community.
The WISCONSIN WOODCHUCKS Home Opener is Friday, May 29th in the newly renovated Athletic Park with Post Game Fireworks presented by Ministry Health Care. Single game ticket will go on sale in April for the 2015 season.
